After watching Rick Shiels' review, I've taken the plunge and ordered all the bits needed to build my custom TM R15 430.

I tend to hit driver shots too high, so I've gone for a 9.5 degree head with Project X stiff shaft to keep the trajectory low, plus TM grip and adaptor. Hopefully, this will give me a bit more distance over the Mizzie JPX-850 I'm currently using.

Anybody using the R15 430? What are your thoughts?

I WAS using the R15 460 with Project X Blue 6.5 until sadly it snapped. I really liked the combination. Gave me a nice penetrating flight. Was on the bigger head though.

As stated in my own thread, I used my 460 10.5* R15 today, and it's awesome. £65 well spent

That is a great price, I thought you were happy with Dunlops?

When you read my posts you need to realise that I am both an idiot and a hypocrite. Seriously though, it is my belief that better equipment can help a golfer when the equipment is the correct equipment. So that is to say if I were to purchase a £700 set of blades, it would not make me better, it would almost certainly make me worse. However, the R15 is so easy to use my dog could probably drive the ball 150 yards. For the price I paid I knew I could sell it if I didn't get on with it. I am a sucker for a bargain, and always have been. I just bought a £139 bag for £11.50 on ebay, and it makes the R15 look like a rip off in comparison

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I would like to fit a Proj X to my G30 3 Wood in 5 Wood length is it easy to fit an adapter to the shaft, just a case of bonding on with epoxy?

Yep - it's that easy. Probably a good idea to mix some filler beads in with the epoxy as they help centralize the shaft in the hole, as it were.
