New pro v1x golf balls

Yes and no, yes Ive tried them but dont think they are much different to be honest.
I was given a sleeve of Bridgestones B330s recently by my brother who asked me to try them and tell him what I thought, I played with one on saturday and sunday and I think it might just be replacing my pro v1 and Cally tour ix balls. They wear better, are fine distance wise and I managed to spin one back around 15 feet with a half sandwedge on the last green (which was a pity as it pitched 10 inches from the hole and missed the birdie putt! c'est la vie)
So after a round and a half its got one little scuff from a bunker shot and I am seriously thinking of moving to these, they are a couple of quid cheaper too which helps.

Hi,

If you are interested in the new Pro V1s then take a look at p23 in the April edition of Golf Monthly, where we do a review of them.

Also look out for a test of all the newest golf balls on the market coming in the May edition!

Not really interested in trying ProV1 or 1x balls. I can't see me having enough clubhead speed to consistently compress the top end titleists.

Tried the Bridgestone B330RX recently & was blown away. Distsnce even outstripped that of the Srixon Z-URS at least for me.

Not tried either against my usual Taylormade balls, but impressed with what Srixon & Bridgestone have to offer without feeling to need to try Titleists again. I like NXT Tour balls, though having tried some of the newer offerings on the market I now feel there are better balls out there than Titleist have to offer.

I tried the bridgestone and really liked it and have just got a dozen Srixon Z Star to try as well. I am persoanlly moving away from Titleist (although I'll try the new version out of interest) as I am getting better results for my game with the TP black, Bridgestone, and especially the Nike One

Pro V1s are a bit pricey for me to rip the crap out of them,a extra 5 pound a dozen is a lot.

If i can get hands hands on a sleeve ill try them still got a couple dozen B330-s to lose for now

To be honest it wasnt the distance thing i was wondering about, it was around the green. During winter and the "soggier" months i always use Srixon AD333's which i think are amazing (The pro at my club is selling them at 13.99 a dozen :) )i was just curious to see whether the outer layer of the new pro v1x was any tougher than the old one, the reason being is last year i got a spin milled 54 Vokey wedge and it cut them to pieces after a couple of holesh

Chipsandegg where do you play,i read your reference to Pennington Golf Course thought you might be near by
