Money List Winner
So, I haven't really mentioned it, so none of you are probably aware
D), but I got a set of Mizzy MP-57's off eBay that arrived yesterday.
Firstly, as I mentioned in the "haven't got them yet" thread, they are in unbelievable condition. I literally hit the jackpot, which almost never happens and probably means that I now won't win the Lottery! The grips on a handful of the clubs are slightly worn and will need changing, probably by Christmas depending on how much I play between now and then (mostly the lower irons, as per usual), but other than that, there's hardly any use in them at all.
Took them down to the range last night for a test drive and got a bucket of 90 balls to see what they could do. I wasn't disappointed. I have a natural fade on my ball flight anyway, but my shots were so much more controlled and the feeling of hitting one sweet as a nut, well I've never experienced anything like it. Pure magic. The 3 and 4 iron still need a little work to get consistent but I think it's more a mental thing as when you look down at them from address, they look like butter knives, unlike my old Lynx's which had a bit of meat behind them!
As Homer mentioned, I'm sure I'll get the inevitable buyers regret (tomorrow, probably
), but *know* I can hit them and that they're perfectly weighted so just need to work through it when the time comes.
Also, to top things off, I was even hitting my big dog well which hasn't happened consistently since I bought it and I think I've worked out what I was doing wrong the past few months. Always nice to work out the problems in your swing!
Needless to say, I can't wait to get out tomorrow and test them in proper conditions.....where I'll no doubt top and thin them all day long!
(This thread the last time I'll mention them, I promise!
