New best friend comes home today...

Cheers guys, I have left on her own tonight. We'll see if she can last till 04:00, which is when I'm going to let her out for her business. as soon as she's clear of her injections, we'll be on the golf course. It's a nice walk and she'll be more than capable of filling the training bag with mid-range balls, covered in tiny bite marks..:)..

Our second wouldn't settle at night either! Think the kids were less hassle! Good luck with her she looks lovely, I've already said no more after ours are gone but you never know!

Aaah how nice. Have 5 of them here. Drive me around the bend at times. But great fun most of the time. My trouble is I have to pass a dogs home. Everytime I call in to get some toys etc. I come out with another family member, just can't help it.

I said never again as well. She has already started to settle down, and is sleeping for a couple of hours at a time. It'll be a long couple of weeks but we'll get there.

Ahhh how flipping cute is she?? Gorgeous with a capital G. So cuddable - if that's not a word it should be.

Just home from a week in Portugal and dumped the bags and straight to the kennels to collect Max. We asked them to give him a bath and manicure so now he looks (and cuddles) even more like a great big teddy bear.

Enjoy. I checked Max's vaccination certificate and had deliberately denied the truth that he is 11 years old and beginning to show that...love the boy to bits.

I was hoping that you would see the thread Amanda. It's been a long 6 months since Mojo passed, and after speaking to a local (good) breeder, I decided to bring home Sky. She's fearsomely intelligent, and according to the vet, is going to be a big girl. Sleep is a thing of the past though. Her character is already beginning to show and she is afraid of nothing. Only 3 weeks now till I can take her out (for short walks). The golf course up the road is my first visit....

I remember when we got our puppy back in August last year.
He's now a fully paid up member of the family (even though he can be a little git at times) and we would never be without him now.

She sounds like Bonnie our previous lab who had the heart of a lion and feared nothing - including our wrath when she was naughty!! Max is a different dog altogether though and a great big cuddly wuss - love them both equally though and there's no doubt Max healed out pain on losing Bonnie.

Keep us updated on her progress and how good she is at retrieving golf balls!
