New Alignment sticks feedback

They look far to thick to leave in a golf bag.
Would I buy them?....No, I have a pair of yellow fibreglass ones (or whatever the material is) that live in the bag and get used less times than Santa uses his sleigh.
TBH they look very much like polo mallet sticks.

I'd ask where you got your hickory, what diameter is it and what quality?

You'd stand much more chance of making money if the hickory was good enough for shaft replacement on old hickory clubs, if so I'd certainly be interested in buying a handful from you.

the alignment sticks them self ar 3/8 inch so not suitable, I do have some 5/8 inch hickory dowels at 45 inch also but i am not sure if there thick enough or what you need - if they are drop me a PM and can sort somehting out.

To answer a few questions,

- a weather resistant varnish is used on the wood which is then finished with a polyurethane coat - this gives a protective layer which in turn protects the wood and allows easy clenaing. I am still working on the final finish bu thtats the nuts and bolts of it.

- they are 45 inch in length and 3/8 in diameter so pretty much in line with the thickness of plastic alternatives available.

- With regard to price its yet to be finalised but will be circa £30

At £30 each I would say your looking at a reduced market and probably a specialist one as well.
As you mentioned in your op it’s only going to be a small business so I suppose your not bothered about making big money?

At that price, I would suggest the ablity to incorporate a clubs coat of arms or something under the final top coat might get you the market you're probably needing to be looking at.

Personally if it's an alignment stick my only concern is, is it straight. other than that it could be illuminous pink with yellow stripes on it, who cares ? Save yourself money and use a club or an old shaft

Very limited people will pay £30 for essentially two bits of varnished wood, I could go to a timber supplier and make a similar thing for peanuts. They do say a fool and his money are easily parted but I do think that you will struggle to make any worthwhile money doing this, infact I'd wager you will lose money

I like your designs and would certainly buy at £30. DM me if you want to chat this further, marketing is fundamental to any success of your product using Instagram etc. And then getting the higher end older clubs to stock your product. But I’m sure you already know this.

Your misguided is all I can say. Market for this thing in golf is tiny. Most old well established clubs in the uk will like to have things embossed with the club logo etc, push the margins down for the seller. A very limited people would buy these, and only people who practice will buy alignment sticks. Most golfers dont even practice!

Please show me where I said the market is big for this?

If a product like this stands any chance of being successful I can only see one way in which it can be done, part of which I mentioned in my post. Nowhere did I say it would work or that higher end clubs would actually want to stock the product.

I have a set of the bubbawhip ones, they do look good in the bag.
But I think you will struggle to sell many over here, I’ve not seen many people in the Uk in to things like this.
