1st time for me tonight .....went out for a cheeky 9 holes after work. Hit all 9 fairways and greens in regulation and had 9 birdie putts.......only made 1, but very happy.

Had a bit of a breakthrough lesson on Monday which seems to be giving me more consistency and has added about 20-30 yards to my drives....:cool:

Not going to get too excited, but good things could be just around the corner....:p

If today's events at Formby have anything to go by I may just give the next one a wide berth.

Heading to Linden Hall next weekend for a 4 man scramble, we may be a man short if you can make it, need to check with the Hickory Hacker.....
 
Well done Rick, you get a hard time from some on that other forum, you must be a better man than me, i'd be down knockin their doors, Keep up the good work, Cat 1's within reach for most 6-9 h'cappers, i'll be trying to get back there myself next season but it's hard work stayin there.

I had another good round yesterday played 11 holes and was level par for 10 of them with a double on the other......consistency seems to be getting better.

Glad your irons are still working mate....:)

Cheers for the support mate.....it's just one of them who's a right cock......came on here with his 1st post a while back which was deliberately provocative and just intending to wind up, so I told him what a cock he was on the other forum and he didn't like it.......the only other one is a sandwich short of a picnic so his opinions are pretty worthless..........I'm from Yorkshire mate so got pretty thick skin.......it just rolls off....not worth getting upset about..... Good luck with your quest for Cat 1...:)
 
Yeah so far so good. Well most of the time anyway, They didn't really perfor at Formby the past couple of days but that was entirly down to tiredness and drink (you know me, another last to bed for me ad 3 hours kip)

Played young David off his 3 handicap at matchplay off scratch, we were all square after the first 9, then I found myself 3 down, got back to two but then ended up 3 down with 3 to play... Thats when they irons finally woke up, I parred the last 3 holes and won them all to end up all square after 18. Was fairly chuffed :-)
 
I am that man yes :-) and yes everything is going well with the little one. Eating sleeping and Sh1tting thats about it :-)

Are you on the other forum too ? Hard to tell who is who with all the nicknames....
