N1Golf Golf Lessons In the UK and London (Didn't realise London wasn't in the UK... )

My local driving range has teamed up with this lot and offer a one hour player evaluation for £19.99 which covers:

- Golf Swing
- Short Game
- Putting
- Psychology
- Bio-Mechanics
- Equipment Check

Sounds really good and I expect I will sign up shortly, just wondering if anyone had any experience of them.

The first thing i would say Spoff....is 1hr really enough to go through all that? I'd say not to be honest.

Thats asking an awful lot of someone to try and take in so much information, or watered down information, in such a short space of time.

You'll be getting taught so fast you'll forget stuff by the end!

I use them and thoroughly recommend them. Had an initial video lesson and a quick fix lesson and then booked an hour long lesson to correct everything. Since then I've used my coach regularly and he has done a great job on my swing. At the moment we are focussing on the short game and I'm hoping in a few weeks once I've had my chipping lesson I'll be ready to scramble like a pro.

The lessons can look a little pricey on the website but negotiated a good deal (£43 down to £33 per hour) for a block of 6. There are some decent coaches too. The guys at Maidenhead Golf Centre where I go are all top quality and look after some decent clients.

That's what motivated me to ask the question here.

I can't afford additional lessons at the minute, but £20 on this I will hopefully be able to take a couple of things from it before lessons in the (hopefully near) future.

Off-topic, you been to Cobble Hall yet, KeefG?

Impossible to cover all that you have listed in 1 hr, unless its just a general lecture and maybe a one club demo/trial. Even if they could, your brain wouldnt be able to cope with it all in that time so something is wrong somewhere methinks?

From my own experience, the video trial involved me hitting some shots which were filmed and we went hrough the pictures and the pro described what was good and bad. The aim of this 1 hour is to show you your swing, give you a quick swing fix to take away BUT is also designed to get you to book more lessons which are much more expensive.

I have to say I was in the market for a swing rebuild so not a problem but don't expect all the lessons to be the same. The various swing aspects described are talked about but you are expected to book a specific lesson to cover that aspect. The 1 hour doesn't go through each element.

I have to say I like N1. I know the guy that owns it (Declan) and he has worked hard to get a good stable of coaches and to build it up. In simple terms it is pricey compared to other local pros but you do get a better quality of coach so you get what you pay for.
