My avatar is a picture of the gentleman who is our most senior Senior. He played yesterday for the first time since November and was not very happy with a nett 78 in a Medal. It was quite understandable that he decided not to play for 4 months - we all know how conditions have been in that time. This gentleman was 95 in February. Do you have such a man playing qualifiers at your place?

Wow that is amazing. A good part of why I took up golf was its sustainability versus the running/triathlon I was competing in. Hope to still be playing at 95 - top man!

Think the oldest we have is someone at 85

We also have a 77 year old who has been his age a number of times - gross

95 he is an advert for why people should play golf if ever there was one, never mind birds in heels and bikinis

Show old healthy golfers enjoying life in their 80s and up, for those that recognise they are losing their health and fitness, GOLF is the answer!

I hope I'm still ALIVE at that age never mind still playing golf

Me :D

Played a (mixed) match against Leatherhead many years (9?) ago and followed a group with a fairly elderly looking who hit the ball not far, but with a beautiful swing!

Chatting afterwards, I found out he was something like 85 and was unhappy to be playing off 18! He apparently shot a couple under that in the match. His partner pointed to the Honours board where his name virtually monopolised the Club Champs for about 15 years or more a few decades ago!

I took some photos at Tyneside Golf Club a couple of months ago at a member's 100th birthday party. He was interviewed by the local TV. Said he played because he liked the exercise, company &, especially, the drink afterwards.

At first glance he looks like Maurice Flitcroft :)

This is another feelfood story that golf monthly would do well to do a story on. With all the golf freebies going on in the world. Would love golf monthly to take a fourball some where nice for a round and listen to there stories on how the game has changed over the last ? Eighty years.

Sometimes I feel that old when I come off the course........

We have a fair few seniors, not sure exactly how old the oldest ones are but must be 80's

in in all seriousness I really hope I can still play when I'm that age, fair play to him and them

Played midweek medal today in horrendous wind and pouring rain - one of my playing partners was 89! I was feeling the cold like anything, his generation are obviously hard as nails!

Our president was 103 last week! He only stopped playing in the last 2 to 3 years. He still drives to the club every Sunday for good tho and still attends the management committee once a month!
