The thread wasn't really about racism Homer.
I agree and if you look at the final paragraph you'll see that I embrace it and was merely pointing out that it hasn't always been so easy to do this

Haha they have not got over the last time yetHead on with an army of Lancastrians one would imagine.![]()
Think you made a fair point as multiculturalism is obviously linked to accepting other races, nothing wrong with that Homer.I agree and if you look at the final paragraph you'll see that I embrace it and was merely pointing out that it hasn't always been so easy to do this
Ha ha.Love the statement. The Mail is to blame again..Personally, i do not think we have heard the half of it,regarding the above subject matter.Indeed. I was at a conference the other week and there was an expert on child sexual exploitation speaking. And whilst he acknowledged that there is a cultural problem in some Asian communities, the vast majority of child sexual exploitation and grooming in this country is done by 'white males'. It's just that the Daily Mail don't seem to want to print that story for some reason. I mean if you were cynical it is almost like they have an agenda or something![]()
That's because the vast majority of the population are white, percentages from each race is a fairer gauge to your arguement.
Think this is heading away from the OP. Leave it there I say:thup:The point he was making was that the press present a story in such a way that people interpret it so the main threat is from Asian male gangs and that builds up a potentially false perception of the risk or indeed safety. And whilst no one is denying Asian male gangs is a problem, the much bigger threat is from your uncle or older sisters friends. And parents need to be aware of these threats and that this type of abuse/exploitation is more likely to come from them.
I suspect that if you asked a lot of the public who was more likely to groom and exploit young girls, gangs of Asian men or white men, usually known to the victim, then a lot would give the first answer.

Yes and it's success hinges on different races accepting each other surely? Homer was just pointing out how things have changed regarding acceptance. It's about multiple people-cultures in a countries population. It's not really about whether it's accepted or not.

Child grooming gangs to name a few.
Going on what's still to come out, this could easily be parcelled up to be "Tory Mp's",also.
There may indeed be incidents yet to come to light that include Politicians but probably from all political parties. Not withstanding this it is hard to ignore the number of groups of Pakistani origin that have been identified in many locations over the UK.
One way to look at it, maybe there are whole gangs of upper-class white men who do the same. Difference being one has had a blind eye turned to it, or they have the power to have it not looked into as much.
Maybe but somehow I doubt it. The blind eye was very much turned from it due to the establishment not wanting to be branded as racist.
