The touch screen on my 3 year old M5 trolley stopped responding after a recent shower so the GPS data was not available. I spoke to Motocaddy's technical support guy who was not very helpful other than confirming my suggestion of dismantling the handle and drying it out with a hairdryer. This I did and cured the problem, albeit temporarily, as the next time I used it still showed the non responsive welcome screen until it had sufficient sunlight on it to presumably remove any condensation before it came back to life. Has anyone else had this problem and is there a permanent solution other than coughing up £300 for a replacement handle. Certainly my opinion is that this assembly is not fit for purpose.

Motocaddy are useless. I bought this too a few years ago. Always struggled to link to my phone. Then every time the screen went off the trolley lost connection and then no GPS. So it only gave me GPS when the phone screen was on. They had no solution so I wasted my money buying a GPS trolley. Bought a golf watch recently. Would get one of the new GPS trolleys if they weren’t over £1k now! And I always have condensation in the screen. Really poor product.

Get a Silica gel bag ( they use them in electrical items) and strap it to the screen with a rubber band when you store your trolley away.
This will stop any condensation building up.
You can buy them for car dashboards to stop windscreens getting condensation, they are microwaved to renew them now and again.
