Motocaddy M1 Upper Release Catch

Hi can anyone help with some advice please
The Upper release catch on my M1 trolley is becoming increasingly difficult to open and close and the upper arm is also difficult to operate
It feels it needs lubricating unfortunately there arent any obvious ways of doing this any ideas?

I havent see the trolley in question, but can you not squirt some light oil into the centre shaft of the upper arm?
It sounds like you just need to work something like WD40 or similar in and around the area and work the fittings.
