Am off to have a look at an M5 tomorrow. Have been looking for a while and cracked screens seem to be pretty commonplace.

Which of the above is the best for avoiding screen damage?

I did read somewhere that the most common cause of a cracked scheme is the trolley falling over when stood upright. Is that right? Sounds like a design flaw if correct.

(I’ve also seen third party screen protectors like the ones you get for mobile phones, I’m guessing they are not the best solution?)

Have had Motocaddys for years and never cracked a screen ?

Just be careful with it

One lad does have the little sock protector that goes over it when folded and stored

Been looking on eBay for a couple of months, a large proportion of used ones have cracked screens.

When buying my last motocaddy trolley really wanted m7 remote with gps.
After reading lots of reviews decided on m7 remote without gps. Apparently they not only cracking but a lot of them have issues with connection too.
You can always buy phone holder and use motocaddy app on it

Strangely enough my screen cracked over the weekend with no interference from me. The question is can I be bothered to replace it as it probably won't be cheap.

I've got a old (10 years) Motocaddy S3 Pro, that the screen cracked on it a few years ago, I was able to buy a replacement handle a digitiser and repair it myself pertty easily. it was certainly much cheaper than a new trolley.

Newer models with built in GPS might not be quite so cheap or straightforward to repair.

I have an M7, and have cracked the screen. It's all my fault when I put it into the boot of the car.
I do have a replacement screen to fit to it, but currently I have a waterproof clear film cut to size over it. TBH, I never bother reading the screen as I do everything on the remote.

The position of the gps screen on the motocaddy is prone to get damaged with the size and design, if there was a lip on it it would be massively preventable, I good phone screen protector and that sock thing would be a must for me
