With the recent unpredictable weather serving up a mixture of rain and warmth in certain (though obviously not all) parts of the country, if your course is anything like mine it's made for some interesting lies. Which has got me thinking - which kind of lies do you dread the most, and feel least confident of executing from? I'm sure there are other kinds of tough lie, so apologies in advance if I have missed a personal favourite tough lie of yours!

I don't mind any of those listed, other than the heather which we don't have at our place so I voted for that.

My nightmare lie is in an old divot. Just never quite sure how it's going to come out.

I voted ball sat up in rough but my pet hate is the short to med iron from the first cut with the grass cut against you, especially when there are trees or bushes to clear.

This would also be mine.

I hurt myself last year playing from an old divot and wouldn't be confident playing from one again :(

I agree an old divot is enough to sap my confidence. I voted hardpan. My confidence goes when faced with a high lob shot from hard bar ground

I voted the first one, but I'd take all of the above over the ball being above your feet, tweaked my back at Lothianburn at the weekend playing from one of the many times I found myself facing this.

Usually when I'm smack bang in the middle of the fairway on the nicest piece of grass ever!

With the others at least you can have a good old slog at it and hope for the best

personally I'm least confident executing the "telling work I'm sick when I want a duvet day" lie

Opted for number 1 however a shot I cannot get is a sloping down lie in a bunker, even a step sloping down lie in the rough causes me enough problems.

Ive picked number 1 out of them but far worst for me is a downhill lie. Absolute shocker if its a downhill lie when im trying to chip as well.

All can be tricky but are all playable.

The one that kills me and normally ends up with, at best, a dunch that just creeps out is a ball above my feet in sand. :(

I might as well take an unplayable!!!!
