Bought a set of Mizuno MP53's after years and years of Blades and Mizuno T Zoid Pro (very close to blade) and the 53's are just not right for me, too forgiving, too thick lines (in my eyes) etc etc
They are a very good look though, prob the best looking GI club in the Market IMO.

anyone tried the MP59's and 69's and Titleist 710 MB?

This is gonna cost me as the 53's are weeks old and the Mizuno's are still expensive...............silly me

53's are proper mp irons with a cavity in them - supposed to be the easiest to hit mp iron.
Tried mp59,63 and 69 at the fitting center and found the 63's to feel similar to the 69's but with a ssmidge more forgiveness. The mp59 was the best performer but the feel was sort of not mizuno, not bad infact good but not what I was expecting (used comp ez and mp33 previously). My main shock came when I compared the 63 and 59 and 710 cb (nice solid club good looking too) to cobras s3 pro combo during a visit to my pro shop - these feel astounding and gives the blades in the 7-pw.
Why the need to play blades? Feel and control wise they are not different enough to forged players clubs to warrant the difference in forgiveness. I played with a lad who has secured a place at an American uni for next year (got it this year but deferred it) who plays off scratch who said he would never touch blades they aren't worth it.
I suppose ultimately it's up to you but unless you play off 2 or less or are a really good ball striker (I mean really good) then you may be better with the likes of the above clubs (except 69).

I was fitted for MP53s in november last year at Clays in Wrexham, and initially I didn't really get on with them despite hitting them well at the fitting, possibly due to them being 1/2 inch longer. They did feel a little diifferent. I'd previously used Ping s58s for a few years.
I was ready to give up on them,I was struggling to hit Knockdowns [possibly due to the shaft] and they seemed a little one dimensional.
But after speaking to a few people with far more knowledge than me, and due to the investment that I'd made I decided to Stick with them.
To cut a long story short, at the moment my ball striking has never been better, Distance has never been better, and general confidence in my irons has never been better.

Try and give them a couple of months, You might grow to love them. and like me you might be thankfull for that extra forgiveness every now and then.

I think you have give new clubs at least 6 months of decent continuous play, especially if you were fitted for them by Miz. It sounds like its more about the looks rather than performance?

When i was fitted, I tried both the MP63 and MP53 and at address there was hardly any difference. The MP63 do look better from behind though! :) Have tried the MP68s and thought they were fantastic but wanted the extra forgiveness on the long bats.

Right, been back to the centre and tried MP 59 and MP 69 with different DG shafts, then alternated with the MP 53 and custom shaft. Definitely striking the 59 and 69 way better than the 53, 59 though was a higher flight prob helped by the TI insert imparting more spin............so......MP 69's it is, smaller head but I really feel I can try and shape the ball as opposed to the 53 fighting me if that makes sense.
Certainly the looks are important as someone mentioned and they are beautiful, not unlike my very old Titleist tour pro blades of 30 yrs ago.
Thanks for the input fellas, now I need help finding 3-pw mp69's Dgs300 shafts at a very good price
