Sunday evenings listening to the top twenty on a transistor radio ?
Tuesday lunchtime at school from 12.45 listening to the new Top 5 played in reverse order before the Top 40 countdown and the Number 1.
Then finding out the phone number the record shops used to call to find out the new chart around 11am Tuesday mornings and then winning a few bets on what the Top Three would be.

In 1975 my scout troop (18th High Wycombe -Wesley-) were on summer camp in Luxembourg and we had a trip round the radio station
We were met by Mark Wesley who had come especially to meet us, and he then handed over to Spangles Muldoon for the rest of the tour
