This is my birthday weekend treat to myself, im planning on driving down early Friday morning playing the 2010 course teeing off around midday, having meal in their posh restaurant, hitting a few funky bars in Cardiff, then playing the Monty designed course on the Saturday then driving back.

Anyone fancy it? Prices below.

£135 to play the 2010 course
£50 for the Monty
£198 twin / single in the resort lodge
£98 twin / single in their other hotel a few minutes away

If so we will need to make some bookings and put a deposit down soon ish but dont have to pay the full total. I think, I wll have to call them back and talk about this.

Go on Go on Go on Go on Go on..........

You know you want to, just think of it, watching the Ryder cup drink in hand dipping your head and going "played there and I made a four! Whats he doing?"

I could meet up with you as it's my home club, The Roman Road is less of a walk than the Monty but if your on a package you should be getting buggies with it so won't make much difference. The 2010 is a lovely course with some tricky thinking holes, only played it once so far as my membership doesn't include it but I will be playing it at least once a month this season.

You lucky man!!!! Would playing with a member get us any additional discount, will call them later and ask about group booking prices.

Great place Monmouth, has a wicked butcher on the high street! And a load of decent boozers.

Played it a couple of times...it's a right bar steward!!
I'd love to come along, looks good value for money. But end of April is out for me.
Hope all those that go have a great time, you'll love it

I doubt if members discount applied on a stay and play offer but I will ask this week for you. A couple of the members I play with would probably join your groups if you wanted.

If it's boozers you want, at the bottom of the hill from the course is the town of Caerleon, it must have 15 pubs and you can walk beetween most of them.

I'd love to go as we discussed but next years subs are due in April so financially not going to be a goer. Not sure you will get to play your second round as I have a fair idea what a few cheeky beers really means!!

Too soon after my annual Florida trip, but good luck with it, it sounds a good deal.

Not sure about the welsh breakfast though.
