Hi all

I’m thinking of Marrakesh 1st time 7 nights 4 rounds and trying to avoid getting ripped off.

For instance, I hear it’s compulsory to have a caddie! Is this for real?

Taxis: always a minefield in EVERY country.
From the airport any tips? How much?

Also from the hotel to the courses?

I’m hearing it’s £10 a bottle of beer! In the clubhouses! Seems steep to me.

Any help advice really appreciated chaps

Cheers

A couple of courses have compulsory fore caddies. When we played it was only one per group, so the cost was minimal, about 5 or 10 pounds a head. Just like in flash courses in the US they are sort of of there to help you with lines and green reading but also repair divots and pitch marks as well as monitoring pace of play so they ensure the course is in good condition and isn’t excessively slow.
I don’t recall beer prices in the clubhouses but they weren’t extortionate or I would have remembered.

Hi , me and my mates went in January 2025 and are going in 2 wks . Last year we played Savannah & Assoufid and didn’t need any caddies there .. This year we are playing Royal Marrakesh where it does state on their website you need to use a Fore Caddy but my mates went in Autumn and no Caddy was needed ..
Yes I believe beer is around £10 in the clubhouse, we only have 1or 2 then get back to hotel where it’s all inclusive..
As for taxis , the hotel provides pick up to & from airport and to and from golf courses , all this is in our package price . As for price ; It was originally £650 but Ryanair cancelled our flights so we had to change airlines and fly out a day early which made it £670. This includes;
Flights
3 nights in all inclusive 4/5* hotel
Flights-Manchester
All taxi pick ups
2 rounds of golf
Buggies
£670

I can totally understand, keeping an eye on players, so play etc, so a caddie is ok. Sounds like I have to check. And sounds like between £20/40 per caddie. Cheers for the info
