The thing that strikes me about this story is the references to him 'escaping'!! Poor guy, makes him sound like a prisoner. I think a lot of these so-called 'care' homes have a lot to answer for

In Laws were married for 70 years, he died 2 years ago, she has been totally lost ever since, from what I've seen it would appear to be a blessing.

I actually think it's nice, just sad she had to go through the pain & suffering of losing him. They were clearly 2 halves that made up a whole and it's no surprise that one couldn't survive without the other.
