Be very careful when buying MacWet gloves. To be fair to Glenmuir, they do provide a sizing guide, but it's hard to get your head round HOW MUCH smaller these gloves are than the equivalent "non-wet" gloves.

See the photo showing the 'M' size next to an 'M' size Footjoy. OJ Simpson might struggle to make it fit 😂

I've been buying golf apparel for 40 years, so I'm well aware of the pitfalls of comparing sizes across brands, but I've never seen such a difference. I'm not looking for sympathy 😜, but I'd like to help others to avoid making the same mistake.

Thats fair enough, but I always try something new or different on first as these differences are commonplace. :)

@RichA
The sizing guide uses the hand width in cm, and maps the numbers to S, M, L, etc. Hence the possibility of screwing up.

FYI, my hand width is only slightly wider than 7.5cm, yet the MacWet glove is miles too small.

My Footjoy size is ML, which I know because I followed their measuring and sizing advice.
My MacWet size is 9.5. I know this because I followed their measuring and sizing advice. At £30 a pair I thought it was worth measuring twice. Perfect fit.

(1) Are you sure you did not buy a ladies M
(2) Did you buy from a reputable source. From experience a Chinese made medium is not the same as a UK medium

This is correct.

I remember going into a pro shop in the USA to buy a shirt.

Seen one I liked and asked the guy “ do you have this in XL”
He said “ sir in America you are not an XL” and handed me a medium😂😳
Bought an L in the end.

Size of clothes etc is just not standard anywhere.

I was in Decathlon the other day and bought a pair of their wet grip gloves. They were available in blue and black. The black large fitted fine, the blue were tiny on me. I checked to see if the blue were ladies but I couldn't see anything on them that indicated this, but looking on the website, the blue are women's.

I use a FJ RainGrip glove that I've had for over five years now - it just doesn't wear out. I've never been able to get on with wearing two gloves to play. I own a pair of FJ Wintersof gloves for when it's cold, but I have to take the right one off to hit full shots, otherwise I have no feel for where the club face is pointing and I slice everything. Taking the right one off and on with wet gloves just wouldn't really work.
