I am taking part in the MacMillan Longest Day Challenge this year. Has anybody done it in previous years and got an suggestions on how to make all 4 rounds enjoyable?

We atr playing as a four ball at Alford Golf club who have been excellent in arranging tee times and waiving the green fees (we will add them to the donations instead). The course is flat and not too long so should help.

Some of that GAC could prove useful! :)
Played Alford a few times, flat as you say but has unfathomably quick greens for an inland course.
Enjoy it, all for a very good cause.

Never heard of it. Presumably it's to do with MacMillan nurses and cancer care. I'd certainly be willing to show some support.

I'd like to get in on this.....the website is down a.t.m.
I guess steady and relaxed is the way forward.....probably not a day to worry about your best golf. You might get a good eclectic though.

I'm looking into doing the one at Royal Ascot as my dad died of cancer in 2002. Macmillan nurses were great, not only for him, coming in every day to help wash him and administer pain relief, but in supporting my mum as she tried to cope.

Only problem is my diabetes as I need to be careful about fluids and eating properly and regularly to keep my blood sugars balanced. Going to have a chat with the doc so hopefully I'll get the all clear and can try and give a bit back to say thank you for everything Macmillan did for my dad
