low spin drivers

i have tried the ping g20 with the stiff tour shaft in and was going great but before i buy was just wounderng if anyone knows of any other low spin drivers

just been reading about the AMP this is supposed to be a decent low spinning driver with correct shaft,
did you only try the g20? and on launch monitor?

no just tried it at my local club which is selby i had booked in at garthorth for the launch monitor but they had technical problems so had to cancel my lesson.i have tried the ping g and i 20 rocket ballz and titelist but anoying thing at my range is carnt see how far it goes at the rrange is on a hil so anything over 220 yards you can niot see

Shame your session was cancelled I went over to Leeds Gc centre (wike ridge) about 25min drive for me and had a go on there flightscope the range is uphill but at least you could track the ball.

I wouldn't say the G20 was low spin.

Titleist 910 D3 is a low spin head.

The thing is to not have too little spin - you need some to help get the ball in the air.
It depends on your swing - amongst other things - as to how much spin you put on a ball. If you don't generate much spin then a low spinner (D3,i20,i15) won't give you a decent carry.

Low Spin Drivers are the buzz at the moment but they don't suit everyone.

Pretty much. The D3 is a tad smaller, and a tad less forgiving. For me, the D2 spun way too much, especially with the Ki'ali shaft.

I have a bridgestone j33r. It is famously low spin (look on golfwrx for more 'interesting' discussion on the subject.

Sadly it has a crack in the shaft (aldila proto I think) following a collision with a driving range stantion and it would be more expensive to re-shaft than getting another one off the bay.

They are pretty cheap if one turns up.

As it happens, I changed to a ping rapture which (for reasons hinted at above) I find a little more forgiving and easier to get a decent flight on. My suspicion is that you need to have quite a specific set of impact characteristics to make the most of a low spinning driver head/shaft combo.

Having said that, when it went, it really went....
