Long Putts

This sounds crazy but trust me! Next time you on a course and faced with a long put try lining up your putt, take your stance and take your putt whilst looking at the hole. You will be amazed how close you get. I use this method in comps too. Give it a go

I've tried this in practice and it does work...just the thought of miss hitting the ball though.

My V Easy arrived today

Deano- Coincidently, I was playing Tiger on the Xbox when I read your comment yesterday!

Mcbroon- Thanks, I'll be trying those tips out over the weekend.

My last 2 rounds:
Nett -6 with 2 x 3 putts and 4 x missed birdie putts from inside 10 feet. The best I've ever played tee to green.
Nett Level Par with 4 x 3 putts.

And I practice long putts too!

Before I tee off my main focus on the practice green is long putts.
I'm realistic enough to understand that I'm going to miss more 10 footers than I'm going to hole. The Pros do so I'm not going to better them..
That means 2 shots.
I'm also realistic enough to understand that a 30-40 foot putt can mean 3 shots.
I practice the long ones so I can make sure I'm close enough for a tap-in or not much worse and save that extra shot.
More often than not, getting down in 2 from 30-40 feet will save you more shots per round than holing a couple more than normal from 10 feet in my opinion..
