How has everyone's drinking habits changed last few weeks? Honestly! -Same/more/less?
From a regular but modest amount drinker before, the last 3 weeks I have had zero booze, 4 weeks before that one 4-pack of lager that lasted 2 evenings. I do get cravings for a beer but am abstaining easily enough. Haven't been 'dry' like this my whole adult life. Not going to shops every other day helps so less impulsive buying. Just think it'd be so easy to be overdoing the booze just now so avoiding altogether.
Downside is I am really sick of diet 7up and Pepsi Max.

Not really changed, have a beer with the evening meals some days, still doing the same, sometimes a Scotch of an evening but that's normally winter. Pub visits are match days, work pub quiz outing & the odd day out; obviously not doing any of those but haven't picked up the slack indoors. More of a quality rather than quantity drinker these days.

I'm a light drinker but I am having a drink on a couple of extra nights than normal. It's only one drink per night but it is a stress reliever right now. I get bad hangovers after a pathetically small amount of alcohol so it is never going to be more than 1 per night for me at home.

Having a started a fairly major, for me, change in lifestyle early in the year... Aside from a really bad falling from the wagon I've managed to keep off alcohol and any other sugary drinks... Sparkling water with a slice or two of lemon or lime is where I am at presently... Hopefully the weather will be warm enough, soon, so I can add some ice to the mix...

We usually go out about half a doz times a week. Total intake during normal life; about 5 pints, a few glasses of wine might be had instead of the beer and I might have a brandy 2 or 3 evenings a week.

In the 5 weeks of lockdown I’ve probably had 2 pints, 2 bottles of wine and a bottle of brandy.

I guess the noticeable change has been the increase in the brandy.... but way less beer.

22. Schools are closed so you need to home educate your children, unless you can send them to school because you’re not at home. If you are at home you can home educate your children using various portals and virtual class rooms, unless you have poor internet, or more than one child and only one computer, or you are working from home. Baking cakes can be considered maths, science or art. If you are home educating you can include household chores to be education. If you are home educating you can start drinking at 10am

23. If you are not home educating children you can also start drinking at 10am

No change in my home habits of half a bottle of wine a night .

Not going to the club means 3 pints of Guiness removed from my intake.

I realised yesterday that I have two cans of beer in the cupboard which go out of date this month so......

Serious alcohol drinking, half to a full bottle of spirits a night went out of my lifestyle a long, long time ago and it was related a much more stressful time of my life than what we are going through now.

Drinking a lot less than before. Never been much of a home drinker, maybe one or two drinks a week, but loved going to the pub. Those trips are out of the window, coupled with all home-cooked food means I'm at my lowest weight for the last four years, and still dropping. Lockdown is good for my health!

not wanting to offend but I find it almost sad that a person "has" to drink at home because the pubs are closed or just drink to get through the day.
I'm only looking at this from my point of view but I've never understood "the need" to have alcohol.

No change Sunday to Thursday, never really drink on those days anyway. Have a few bottles of wine with my wife on Friday and Saturday. Stopped drinking cider as higher calories and getting less exercise

depending on the wine a 250ml glass of white has 200 to 220 calories. 500ml of magnets is 205

Usually my drinking revolves around socialising - after golf, football match, going out for a meal etc. Occasionally have a beer or two at home on the weekend with the Mrs. Or whilst watching a match or fight. My overall alcohol consumption will therefore have gone down.

However, I’ve drank far more than I usually do at home. I’ve played poker with mates a few times and had a few family Zoom nights. Actually, finding it hard not being able to just pop out for beers or a nice bottle of wine off the cuff. So my buying habits have definitely changed.

I get a couple 2-3 bottles of beer in the shopping. At the moment I am just trying different ones and enjoying one over the weekend. I occasionally have a whiskey maybe 1 every 2 weeks.
Normal golf Saturday would be a 1/2 pint of Guinness afterwards. So not a heavy drinker at all. Would drink more when we socialise ..
Big question is Beer with an Indian or Red wine??

Cobra every time.

Drinking a lot less. Would up to the club for a few drinks after work several times a week or if I was practising. Would also go out after work or meet HID for meal and few drinks so saving a chunk of cash. Have bought quite a lot of beers for drinking at home but have only had a few bottles since lockdown and quite sporadically.
