Whilst visiting my in-laws in Devon my wife decides to go into labour, 2 weeks early.

At 5:29pm on Thursday 26th March she gives birth to our 2nd child. A girl weighing in at 8lb 12.5ozs! I now have one of each. All I need now is the Volvo and the Labrador! Oh, and a job, a bigger house, ........

Nice one! At nearly 9 lbs I expect you'll need a bigger basket (Moses) as well!!

Congrats to you and your missus.....

Many thanks for you kind wishes.

It all went reasonably well. Though the wife is glad that she had her naturally(ish) after the scare from the first one, and the emergency 'C' section.

Still don't have any idea of what to call her yet as the wifes mother doesn't have a middle name.

Any ideas folks?

Congrats mate. Best wishes to all.

Names, look at the top ten current names, and don't pick any of them, and nothing trendy either.

Congratulations Hapless and Mrs Hacker, must be the Devon air that brings them on, both of mine were 2 weeks early as well.

Next time your down I'll buy you a drink, and we'll get that game of golf in, if you don't come up with any more lame excuses :p

All the best

Yeah, bit of a rubbish excuse to get out of losing a few pounds to twire on Wednesday!! ;)

And then to follow up with a make believe post in the forum!! :)

Seriously, congrats Hapless. I'll bet the missus, if she is anythinng like mine, was a little worried about not being back at her normal hosiptal for the birth, but I hope they treated her well in Devon. My wife panicked travelling up the M5 to see my old dears about 6 weeks before she was due. We stopped at Bristol services, had a coffee, and came home. A nice 4 hour round trip for a coffee!! :)

Yes, another Olivia her also, now 7 months old. We also considered Isabella (maybe a top ten name).
