Let's argue about.....

Could be useful at The Old Course, you can miss left all day long and be fine, put one right however and you're OOB.

Anyone who wants one, anyone who believes it may help them ENJOY their game a little more.

There are too many posts on here, and too many conversations at golf clubs, which include something like "fed up", "disillusioned", "ready to give up"!! We are all guilty, at times, of losing site of the fact that the large majority of us play this game recreationaly.

So if a little toe in/ toe out/ toe up/ toe down/ heel weighted/ toe weighted/ back weighted/ peripheral weighted technology helps anyone hit it that little bit better then fair play to them.

Too left on the first you're potentially ob if you go right over 18! Just try to work on getting the bad boy square. I've played around with my r9 at the range and the different head positions definately work lol! I have ended up sticking with neutral upright as I seem to get a fairly straight and not too high flight

I don't see a problem with them. However, as the golfer gets better expect to need to change it for a neutral biased club. Or why not go for something like the Nike Str8 fit. Set it up as it suits then, and as you improve hav it altered again.

The only problem is that you could always blame the thing for not being set up quite right for your game on any given day. At least with a neutral driver it's all down to you.

You pays your money yadda yadda!

Not got a problem with them. I own a Cleveland HI Bore XLS in a draw bias and it served me proud at the time. In fact I'm tempted the way I'm hitting to give it another outing soon.

I can see where people are going with the why not bother to improve but the truth is not everyone takes it as seriously (I hestitate to use the word me as I think I'm an addict) as many on here. They are quite happy in their regualr weekend group and so if it helps keep them a little straighter then why not

Me for a start. I get to play golf once a week, twice at most and have no time to practice. As such, I would love to take a series of lessons to get rid of my 'power fade' but even if I did I would not have the time to bed in what I had learned. At least my draw biased driver means I can get mre enjoyment out of what little time I get on the course

draw bias drivers........

In your opinion who should be using one? and why?

(did I say "argue"?... I meant "discuss") ;)

I could totally throw my toys out of the pram, but I'm won't.

Nowt wrong with a draw bias driver. I have one, in fact I used it today. :)

Does it hook wildly off to the left? No.
Does it mask a terrible swing path/face angle? No. I can slice/fade it if I want to. I hit a 250 yd 20 yd fade at the 16th with it.
Does it mean when I play with a different driver at the weekend, I'm going to be living in the right rough? No.

I honestly think that if you hit a decent drive and just lose it a little at the end sometimes, it could be ideal for you.

Whatever floats one's boat.

:)

I dont see a problem myself, if people want to use them, fairplay. If you were to question the validity of a draw based club, then you could surely call into question the use of square clubs as these help to square the face at impact, or mallet putters which do the same. I dont personally use them as I like to know that it is me in control of my shot shape, not a club, therefore I can only blame myself!! :D

Do some clubs not also have a slight fade bias to allow the player to not hook? I know that the tm hybrid I use use has, it is meant to help players attck the ball without the fear of a nasty snap hook, it is not called a tm fade hybrid, but the weight is set up this way. I believe that Ping's I15 is the same.. My callaway is .5 open at address for the same reason, as are many other top end drivers.

No-one. It means you've given up trying to improve.
Not sure I totally agree with this. If this were the case then why don't we all use blades? Why do we all (well most of us) replace our long irons with hybrids? Technology exists to assist us, if a draw bias driver works for you and it's not against the rules then if you want to use one, fill your boots as far as I'm concerned.
