Mrs T will be 40 in Nov, she has always wanted to see a show in the west end and we liked the movie les mis, and the soundtrack. Was thinking of getting tickets, has anyone been to see it?
Thanks

Thanks folks, think I’m going to go for les mis, I know she wants to see it, would be nice to see a few other but maybe constrained by time but might be able to swing one more in.

Another vote for Phantom. People should already know quite a few of the songs. Also slight bias because my brother was the main sound engineer on it for 17 years.

as well as having the DVD of the 25th anniversary performance.
I was there at the O2 and it probably was a very miscasts performance. A lot of good singers, but not necessarily right for the roles they played.

Still, LesMis is probably my favourite in the Westend, followed by Miss Saigon.
If Regents Park open air would still play Jesus Christ Superstar, that would be top. But it was 2 seasons only.

If she wants Les Mis, then that's what she should have, but if you want a second choice, then although not a musical, can seriously recommend "The Play That Goes Wrong". Extremely funny and a cracking afternoon or evenings entertainment.

It’s on in dublin in early December, her birthday is end Nov 👍
Just need to try and get the tickets before they sell out when released !!

I've seen it before but got 2 tickets plus a 2 course meal tomorrow evening for £105. Given the seats are often £100 + each it's a great deal.
