Left and right handed golf shoes

Makes a lot of sense, and certainly the spike patterns on other shoes tend to try and target certain areas ... in fact anytime a shoe manufacturer changes their spikes, or pattern, they are tying to increase stability. Adidas have simply done their homework twice, once for each foot.

Get ready to see them everywhere too, as the pics of all the adidas staffers released for Masters week are showing them all with them on !

My only disappointment was that Jake was blocking what looked like a beautiful golf hole. Next time, please move to the left a little so that we can have a clear view of the course.

The clip is dated today and as everyone knows it is illegal to try April Fools jokes a day early so it must be legit.

Surely you meant to say I was improving a beautiful golf hole?! (the 1st on Wentworth's Edinburgh course)

For anyone genuinely wondering, these are completely real and seemingly quite a nice little idea. Do they offer really good comfort and traction? Yes. Will they save you shots? Possibly, it depends how much your feet currently move about.

If you stood to one side then we could have admired you, the course and the shoes  At least you have not gone all Poldark on us and done the test without your shirt on. Thanks for identifying which Wentworth course it was. Worth knowing if I ever get the chance to walk the hallowed turf.

Got to try a pair of the Adidas Boost recently. They are an excellent shoe.I have suffered as well with planar fasciatis and these are the only golf shoes I have worn for the past 3 years without my usual orthotic insert. The heel and sole are incredibly comfortable and also seem to improve the swing as i am more concentrated on keeping the ball of my foot to the floor rather than rocking back into my heels as i tend to do.They are available in many colour's and you can design your own from start to finish using adidas.com web site.I really rate them.I got to the stage where I could only walk 3 holes before it becoming too painful so i am very picky about my footwear. If you are having a problem with planar give these a try as they are very like a training shoe in feel and may give some relief.£140 is not cheap but if they keep you golfing they are worth it.

Thanks for that- they even do them in women's!

Your talking about a different shoe though aren't you, not the new Adidas Asym Energy Boost as they have a retail selling point of £199.00, are you talking about the Adipower Boost?

I understand the idea behind these, but the pedant in me can't get my head round "right handed shoes".
Surely they should be right footed shoes?

The left/right handed thing is coming for the fact they can be bought in configurations for either right or left handed player. A left handed player isn't going to benefit from asymmetric shoes for a right handed player and vice versa. So in essence it's actually 2 new shoe designs with different soles and they just mix them up in the factory :D

Seems a big old price hike for Adidas

About the same as the RRP for the XPS-1 when they came out.

I reckon by the time we get to a few big meets like Hillside or H4H's, someone on here will have a pair, I'll be eagle eyed looking to spot them :smirk:

Might be me, i had ordered some Gripmores, but after waiting 5 weeks + (Pro shop said adidas had no stock!) i cancelled my order. Might find some more scheckles and invest in these!
