Leasehold extension

Another plus for living in Scotland. Freehold is the norm.

One of the things that is becoming increasingly common in the South is that new build estates with detached properties as well as semis and terraces are becoming leasehold. Local authorities are reluctant to adopt the roads the etc and there is a management company to do all the maintenance.

Both my son and my daughter lived on such estates.

Its not becoming increasingly common for much longer as its being made illegal and if youre sold a leasehold new build you will have the right to the freehold for nothing
