Anyone played there? I've got a bounce match next week and I have to say, I'm very much looking forward to it!

Need a wee bit of advice though. One of the guys I'm playing with ( life-long friend) and I have developed quite a healthy rivalry since I beat him last year at Kingsbarns (I'm off 15, he's off 7) and after some gentle urine-extraction from me he's determined to beat me and given me the choice of match. What should I go for? I like stableford and it's not a format he's used to and considering I'me getting 8 shots it sounds like a good un.Any suggestions?

Oh yes, recently I've left me driver out of the bag, considering the course is 7000 yrds long, should I have a re-think? :D

Course will not be playing 7000 yards, so you can safely leave the driver.

Course is excellent, not disimilar to Kingsbarns, and the next holes added (courtesy of the Torrance course) really improves the finish, which was always a wee bit of a disappointment IMO.

As it has been said the course wont be playing its full distance, although you may want to have your driver with you just in case. Its a excellent course, although i havent played it for a while, excellent greens. I would go for stableford, enjoy your game.

Top 100 of the WORLD????

Come on do me a favour......wouldn't be top 100 in SCOTLAND by any chance? Top 100 in the world would mean that they must have closed around 1000 golf courses worldwide for that course to sneak in there! ;)

I wholeheartedly agree. I don't rate The Dukes at all. I have played it many times and have always found it to be a heavy slog with only a few memorable holes.
I don't know how or where it is ranked in the top 100 in the world, but I can think of at least 10 courses in Fife I would rather play. (Especially at £110 a round.)
