Can you confirm if November trip is to enhance people's weather battered experience of this year but next Feb is still on the agenda OR as is quite near next Feb it will be a replacement for Feb 2019. Personally I am available for both but I totally understand the financial commitment either side of Christmas.

Not sure at present Chris. We had discussed the possibility of moving it to November as a replacement but I hadn't realised at the time that RSG was £30 more in November. They are honouring the February price this time and the guy I deal with (assistant secretary) is speaking to the secretary to see whether they can hold that price ongoing based on the fact we've been going for a while now and have always had reasonable numbers.

Once they confirm that we can have a look at it.

As you've raised the point what would everyones thoughts be if it were to be slightly more expensive?

As i only live 5 mins away and don't have to cover accommodation, the extra cost isn't really an issue for me. Was gutted to have to miss this one (hindsight, maybe i was fortunate) so i'll be there whenever you arrange them. (early july 2020 looks good for a proper test too ).

I'm not coming in Nov 18 to RSG (as have the H4H RSG voucher to use this year), but for Nov 19 the extra £30 wouldn't be an issue for me. Also have something in my mind on the west coast for March 19 but will fit it around the kent trip if you run it, as wouldn't wish it to clash.

Chris, I think the plan, such as it us, would be for the the three of us to get together on a golf course (when there's one open :angry: ) and discuss it between ourselves and then look at prices. Another option has come to light as a result of a casual conversation which I need to discuss with the boys and the man who may be able to assist before I post any more on that, but I think we are agreed that if we can shift it so that we actually get to play all 3 days without pricing it unrealistically then it would be good. That sort of assumes they'll have me back as I've been replaced for November.....

Something else we may need to do is liaise with Pete & Glyn to make sure we don't book tours and days on top of each other as far as is possible; I think some may have had to make a decision between Turnberry & Kent given how close they were. Not a criticism of anyone, just a thought going forward to make things run a bit smoother. :thup:

I wasn't able to talk prices with RCP as the "powers that be" were not around on Monday last. I'm planning to sort the details of the deal next week when my contact returns.
