Keegan Bradley

I do find that thing where Furyk lines up the putt then steps away really wierd but I don't mind as he is so unothodox anyway it just seems right that he should something like that.

Do guys not find Fuyrk's pre shot twitching/routine more tiresome than KB's??

I do,big time.

Not really.

KB's is almost an art form. Step to the, ball, step back. Step to the ball, step back. Open and close velcro fastener on glove 3 times. Stare at the target, step in and back again.

Maybe a sly spit.

More respect for 28 handicappers please. My play around the greens yesterday was superb. Now if I could drive like Furyk, or at least get his results off the tee without copying his 'swing'...

i find everything about KB immensely irritating. good for him he won but he must drive his playing partners up the wall....

As the Americans say 'There's something not right about that kid'.

I do like him, kind of. And full respect to him for sorting out his spitting. I believe he was truly shocked it was that bad and came out and said so.

But with his pre-shot dance routine, the weird one eyed stare when he's lining up his putts, his bent over golf posture etc

So great win, and fantastic final round.

BUT there's something not quite right about that kid :D

I actually really like Keegan, he's twitchy yes and quirky. But he goes for almost everything and hits it bloody miles I thinks thats good for golf. I like the fact he shows his passion on the course to you could see what holing that putt meant to him. It was a shameless plug though but hope he's here to stay.

Great round by KB and a very focussed and gutsy performance.

Cant get excited about the ball plug....I remember GMAC plugging his Callaway ball in Spain, Andalucian Masters at Valderama when he won and the next season he was with Srixon....

Seems like a really nice young man and I took my hat off to him when he said he would try to stop the spitting thing BUT I just don't understand why, in some quarters, he's being hailed as the next Jack Nicklaus or Tiger Woods. It's way too early to begin to make such a prediction. With such a twitchy pre-shop routine, I can't see him ever being 'a stayer'. I cite Sergio by way of example ... although at least Bradley has managed to bag himself a major.

If the wheels haven't fallen off before then, twill be interesting to see how he copes 'post belly putter' era.

i agree, i enjoy his antics. he is sooooo focused on visualising the shot. oh and you forgot to add he twirls the clubs three times before taking his grip.

I can't get over his practice swings. Puts the club in behind the ball then takes a swing and swings to the left of the ball. :mmm:

I do, I really rate him as a player and his quirks are part of him as a player. I normally back him on most events - apart from this comp!!!

His shameless plug looked to be being discussed with his caddie whilst they waited for Jim's final putt but who cares, he played a fantastic round and went for it putting the pressure on Furyk who bottled it at the end. I like the guy and there's a decent article in (shameless plug for rival golf magazine) this month about Bradley.

I can play like Bradley very easily...

twirl my club 3 times- check
open/close velcro 3 times quickly-check
step up to my shot, back away twice like the hokey kokey - check
set up club behind ball then swing club past ball -check
have bouncy walk to ball and look like I've left coathanger in shirt top -check
turn head away when lining up putt but keep looking at line in an evil way- check
bend over more than 'normal' with all clubs -check
have a sly gob -check
use belly putter -nope
win tournaments -nope
tell everyone what ball I play -check

well 9 out of 11 aint bad

I am sort of surprised that blatent plugs for golf gear do not happen more often. These people get paid a great deal by their sponsors and so it would not be surprising for a winning golfer, every now and again, to say that they have just started using a wonderful new piece of kit from sponsor x and it is helping them win tournaments.

Is it all a bit crass, yes, but still it would not surprise me if more golfers started plugging their sponsors in post win interviews.

After watching him at Lytham on the 16th on th final day throw a wobbler and take roughly 15 mins for a shot I lost respect. But he won me £100 with his uspga win last year from a £1 bet...I'll let him off

I also saw a bit of him at Lytham, and walked off and found someone else to follow. The alternative was to nip home for a shave then come back and see his second shot.

As for the plug after his win. I use those breaks to go and make a coffee.
