The point, surely, is not that he has had an affair (which I do not approve of), nor even that the lady was the girlfriend of one of his best friends - it is the fact that Wayne Bridge could be one of his colleagues at the World Cup.
I don't care for England's prospects (I'm a Chelsea fan first and foremost), but, as pointed out on the 5 Live earlier, this is going to destroy the squad morale in the summer, and may even result in Bridge missing out on the World Cup, through no fault of his own.
That said, he's just scored the winner at Burnley so he's back in my good books, at least for this evening

Seems strange that Bridge had just broken into the Chelsea squad and was keeping a fit full back out and then suddenly is offered a move away. Chelsea obviously knew something was going on. Sadly JT seems to have fingers in a lot of murky pies and clearly isn't the role model the FA wants as captain. To be honest I don't think Bridge will make the world cup anyway but if Terry loses the respect of the changing room then I fancy Cappello to drop him to keep the camp intact.

To me, it isn't about whether or not he knocked off a team mates partner, or paid for her to have a termination (pretty low though). It is more about being stupid enough to try to get a court injunction against the press publishing the story, to protect his financial deals. Who the flip does he think he is?
