Jocky Wilson RIP

Sad news that Scottish Darts legend Jocky Wilson has died. He was one of the original characters of the game back in the day when we only had 3 TV channels. He lived out his life quietly in Kirkcaldy but will be missed by many darts fans and sports fans in general.

I remember he was interviewed and said his kids only thought he was cool once Dexy's Midnight Runners appeared on Top of The Pops singing JACKIE WILSON with his picture in the background.

They were the great days of darts, with some of the best one liners from the commentators; "Jocky on the oche" was one of my favourites.

A sad passing.

If its wasn't for the likes of Jocky, Bristow and Lowe keeping a small flame flickering on TV then these guys today would never have had it so good. A great player and sad news
