I would normally visit this forum at least once a day and I subscribe to the mag yearly...

I love golf and talk golf as much as I did when I would constantly have this window opened in the background as I pretended to work...

BUT LATELY>>> the amount of stupid,moaning,childish posts are ridiculous... I have just read a guy asking a genuine question about a GPS device which has the ability to talk and all he had were ridiculous comments by people who spend a fair whack of time on here. Now before anyone add's you are moaning about moaning I am more than aware of this but I don't think I have once gave an opinion which was only for the sole reason to be a clown. Why do people hide behind their keyboards and talk to people on here how they would never dream to face to face.

We all have one thing in common the love/enjoyment of golf whether its playing/watching etc and there is nothing wrong with dividing opinions but what is the point in these responses other than to get peoples backs up...

As I said it is yes, there is nothing wrong with coming on here and saying what we hate but why attack someone... its the responses that are far more annoying than someone saying I was stuck behind a fourball who all had zimmerframes.

You are probably right DaveyG, I got the feeling that the 'voice' thing isn't particularly liked, perhaps not what the OP wanted to hear.... but funny all the same

What you need to do is convert your swing to stack and tilt and see if you can cope with the amount of people who criticise it even though they've never tried it or can barely break 85 with the swing they currently use You wouldn't believe the amount of garbage posted by people who just want to rant about something they know nothing about :thup:


FWIW seeing what you just posted... everyone is in the 'clique', there's no real prejudice here, only assumed.

I see exactly where you are coming from JustOne and very little people will be aware of me on this forum not only because I don't post on every thread but because I don't moan everytime somebody puts something I think is ridiculous... I would normally just roll my eyes and move on but when you see a guy ask that question and somebody put some of the replies which have been made you would be lying if you think someone would say that to there face when they don't know them.

Suprised this was removed like a shot when really it related to everything we discuss in the Lounge?

Anyway I guess by posting this it would never achieve anything but stick but sometimes I wonder why be a ....for the sake of it?

Our club bar has a right mixture of members and if you give someone a chance of a laugh at your expense they will generally grab the opportunity - it isn't a question of cliques or not, more human nature!

Some take it all to seriously.
Some take it seriously when it really matters
Some dont take part at all[team comps]
Some[like me]like the banter but when need to add some value[cant pin point when]
Some people just dont care.
That is to me what makes this forum,noboddy really steps out of line,otherwise they dont last long.
