Well done rick!!

Is the aim to win things you want or just to win things?:D

for me, its things i want or auction prizes for H4H, so i enter a lot! because i want a lot of things!! Just waiting for the twitter comp for a porsche 911 turbo....

I saw you'd bagged the alligator grip - they look pretty neat, and it's coming from the states! I'm hoping to bag me one of them too!

Don't hold your breath!!
Just had an email from the president of the company saying the comp was only valid for USA entrants

He was willing to send me the "prize" as long as I paid postage!!
Told him to forget it.

He did apologise and said he felt bad for not noticing sooner.
I wonder how many followers likes and retweets they have gained from a comp that no one outside the USA could win!

I will be unfollowing and warning other twitter users.

theres a few companies have done that, US and Canada only...........but you need to get to their webpage and scroll through yarns of text to find that.

Name the company please and I'll unfollow and tweet about their 'sly' tactics also.

It's a putter grip right? costing a few bucks to send over yet the President of the company takes time to email you demanding cash to send their comp prize? Unbelievable.

The negative press they're getting when they could have got positive press by admitting it was their mistake and sending it to you anyway...

Dude, kidding, was just picturing Rick in his hiphop cap....

I know you dont have a job and just enter comps all day every day :D

Yup - also unfollowed. When advertising to a worldwide audience, they should at least add US only to the tweets!

So after a couple of emails and tweets, he's had a change of heart and is sending it anyway, even though I told him not to bother.
It's obvious he wouldn't have sent it if it hadn't been for the few negative tweets he was starting to see and then panicked.

He claimed it was the 1st comp they had run on twitter and we all make mistakes, lessons learned etc.........

Here's the email flow.....quite funny how he backtracks when I tweeted to warn other UK followers that the comps was only open to USA residents.
Starts at the bottom and works up..........

So who goes onto a companies website to read terms and conditions when entering a twitter competition?

Don't bother sending the putter grip.

Rick,
Again I apologize for the confusion. As my intention was never to mislead anyone. What I meant by saying “the Twitter Contest is only valid for USA participants only” in my first email response was misleading and I apologize for not being clear. What I meant to convey was that all International contestants are eligible to win prizes in this contest, but they are subject to paying the shipping charges. The contest rules and stipulations for the Twitter Contest are clearly stated on our website.

All that being said. I still feel awful about this situation and I am going to go ahead and ship you your prize and pay for all shipping charges to the UK. I have your mailing address and I will get it out to you in the mail very soon.

All the best,

Daniel

Like I said forget it.
I am extremely annoyed that you are misleading people into following, retweeting and favouriting your account with a comp that is only valid in the USA.
I didn't see anywhere that was stated.
I know lots of friends and other twitter users who retweeted and favourited to enter the comp.
I shall be warning other UK users not to bother in the future.

I just sent an order there last week. The shipping cost would be $12.75. If you are willing to pay that, then I will send you the free leather grip.

Rick,
I apologize, but the Twitter Contest is only valid for USA participants only, because international shipping rates are so expensive.

However, I feel bad for not noticing this sooner, and I am more than happy to ship you your prize if you are willing to pay the postage?

Thanks,

Daniel Pusilo
