For those of you who've been following me on my handicap threads well Iv finally got the results today and I'm playing of...

Drum roll please....

11

I'm well chuffed. This is my first ever handicap and my aim for the end of this year was to be playing of 13 so now my aim is 9

Thanks for the tips and all the advice the people on this forum have given me as it has really helped.

Congratulations dude... that's really good!

I
dont think mine will be anything like as
low
as that when I get it but I can dream...Practice Practice Practice!

Keep
up the good work!

That's an amazing achievement well done. Definitely have to aim for single figures now.

I was so impressed I checked you posts to see how long you'd been a member. Why did you wait over 2 years as member to get a handicap?

Excellent.

Still keeping the venue a secret though?

?? I stated in the last thread rave :) but its perivale.
It's only a public course but were moving later this year so I didn't want to commit to a club without knowing exactly where we're moving toO.
Also it's captain day tomorrow so is my first comp.
Thanks for the great comments.

Seriously jealous of 11 as a first handicap. I've been playing for a year, having lessons and spending time practicing but am still stuck on 28. Oh well, only have to wait 10 days or so for the next medal and attempt on my handicap.

Great - fond memories.

Are you staying local? Have you played at West Middlesex? Do they still do public day. Used to.

I lived around the corner from Brent Valley :)
