Finally gave up and succummbed to a set of Mizzies. Did the fitting at the National Centre in Glasgow today and order is now placed.

Gone for a set of MP63 with Nippon NS Pro 1150 in stiff flex 4 - PW and 50 54 and 58 R12 wedges with the same shaft combo.

Got a bunch of good numbers on the launch monitor with the Nippon with the KBS Tour in 2nd place.

Project X were well back in 3rd with a dispersion ratio that looked like someone had hit the balls out blindfolded.

Nice one... how did the fitting go, how long did it take. Did you swing ok on the day. I have plans to go there for fitting and worry about not swinging well on the day.

Do you have to purchase on the day to get an appointment there?

Just quite interested on how the whole day went really. :)

No problem lads,

All in all it was a very good expereince. I booked online through the Mizuno website. When I arrived i was allowed to warm up then I ad a chat with the boy (Roland) aboout what i was in to see etc.

The first thing you do is test the swing DNA which is a gauge to check your SS/tempo etc. These numbers are entered onto the computer and based on this data 4 shafts are recommended by the system.

My recommendations were KBS Tour S, Proj X 5.5, Nippon NS Pro 1150 and DG Dynalite XP.

After that its pretty much as you would expect, 7 or 8 balls with rach club which looks at ball speed, dispersion, launch angle, smash factor and so on.

Once you have completed this and looked at the numbers a custom fit profile is generated and emailed to you, this is taken to your supplier when you place your order and the reference is used by Mizuno to check and confirm your order.

In conclusion for buck shee - its a an absolute f**king must. The boys up there are also spot on and on the ball.
