Is the internet a good thing or a very bad thing as far as golf is concerned?

i think the only bad thing about the internet lesson etc is the different opinions from various players, they all have unique swings and teaching techniques whivch makes it hard to learn from multiple sources. as far as handicaps doesnt that have to do with average scores on the day, so handicaps may be the same doesnt mean people and equipment are not getting better.
