Have to agree with the OP, the guy is a total fud, try reading his drivel in his newspaper column. A class one tool.

I very rarely watch aport on the tele with the sound on these days. My missus hates the moronic chanting of the footy so I always had to have the sound off. Just got used to it and now watch rugby, footy and cricket all with no sound....very peaceful.

I do have the sound on for the golf unless its from the USA and then it goes off again

Going against the flow a bit here, but his insight on the forward play is usually spot on. He's definitley biased, but when it comes to scrummaging etc he knows what he's talking about

His comments re refereeing the break down and the scrum (straight put in?) are usually spot on.

Brian Moore. Love him or hate him (I like him) he is correct most of the time. He is qualified ref! The calls he makes live on TV in a split second are correct 99% of the time. As for his bias for England I like it, its shows he is human and he cares about the game. If you want to single out the worst how have we all looked over Eddie Butler! He is woeful!

Brian Moore is also a fantastic writer. Some of his articles written for the Telegraph have been the outstanding. Especially the one about Daniel James. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/rugbyun...ugby-Union.html have a read of it and see what you think.

Bang on HTL. When all is said and done, he is actually in a position to know what he's on about unlike most of us on here. He calls England infringements when they go unpunished just as readily as the other teams and if you want one-eyed commentary, look no further than the chump sat next to him Eddie Butler when Wales play.

It seems the Sweaties on here have an issue with him, but then what's new?

A brilliant prop, a qualified ref (and has actually reffed a game) and a sharp-minded lawyer who is passionate about the game of rugby being played well, regardless of by whom, but who just so happens to want England to a) win and b) play well.

Apparently, that qualifies you as a **** to some...

"he is human": Moore is a professional commentator and as such should not let his own allegiance to England colour his comments. Being human is not an excuse for a lack of professionalism.

"He cares about the game": I'd agree with that but why does that excuse his bias ?

I am defo not an England supporter. Im from Neath in South Wales mate. Just live in Surrey.

Does not excuse his bias, but it fun to listen to. I like it. Like I said he is like Marmite.

How many times does he go back and apologies after calling the Refs decision as incorrect while commentating ?....at least thrice in one game on Saturday.....the man is a *** end of.

Sorry the only Brian Moore I can think of was responsible for

"Thomas charging through the midfield"
"Thomas its up for grabs now"
"Thomas right at the End"

And will always be legend in my eyes, but I guess you may be talkin about the sport with the broken ball and therefore someone else.
