iPing Cradle - Heres on I made earlier

I decided I didnt want to spend £20 + P&P to buy a Ping cradle to go with their free app so I made my using some coloured paper, some sticky back plastic and a pair of Phill safe scissors...

Really it was a 0.99p iPhone 4 case and a golf vice clamp for 0.50p..

Heres some pics...

Works just as well as the £20 official one.. Now to just work out what the readings mean... any ideas where i need to be ?

Funnily enough, my mate came round this evening with a home made cradle as well! His is made from oddbits of posh plastic (he makes parts for F1 teams). At his hourly rate, I suspect that the 'real' version would have been cheaper...

I was pleasantly surprised to find that after 15 putts I had a putting handicap of 0.8

The only reading that looked a bit odd was the forward and backward tempo which was about 2.5 times as slow going back as coming forward. Seem to remember that hunter mahan was much nearer 1:1

Sadly, the only iphone in our house is my daughters and she appears reluctant to lend it to me to try and improve things...

I have the official one, but that looks as good as.

for the readings - when you get your results each category has a "?" beside it. If you select that it gives you a paragraph on each and helps to understand how the consistency is worked out.

Let me know what your best session is - so far the best I got was a 4. putting hcap is 9.8
