Hi all
Any iPhone gurus out there?
my XR running 14.8 been behaving oddly for a few months.
Several apps (Insta/Spotify worst, LinkedIn too) won't launch 90% of the time.
Just hang for around 20-30 secs & then quit.
Affecting chrome/safari sometimes too often when clicking from a link in Google chat.
doing my nut in
thanks in advance
Mike

If, like me, your phone is switched on 24/7, then you may find it will sort itself by simply turning the phone off and on again. Seriously.

My daughter’s iPhone was behaving in exactly the way you describe a day or so ago. She’s not switched it off since she got it last year. I suggested she did just that and it solved the problem.

Exactly this or, delete the Apps causing the problem and reinstall.

Bin it and buy an android.. tried this one? Lol

Anyways best way is to fully close app and try again

Plus try a turn on and off

If doesn't work delete app and install again

If doesn't work then look to restore the phone

the above, and also….any reason why you havent updated to iOS15?

a lot of the apps will be updated for it, so may cause issues if you aren’t keeping the phone software up to date

have..
quit these and indeed all apps
deleted and resinstalled offending apps
turned phone on and off about a million times

could well be a restore job - always nervous of that

iOS15 not showing for me although this has been going on for months (ie pre the update)

that’s very weird.

a full backup and restore may be the best option then!

maybe utilising iTunes could be helpful too, popping the phone into ‘restore’ mode after the backup (and all important WhatsApp backup too)
