Ok The Mrs has conned me in to forking out 500 squid for one of these. We are both pretty useless on Computers. Any tips on getting started and is there an 'idiots guide' somewhere.

Putting things into context I have never sent a text by mobile phone so that is a starting point!

HELP!!!!

Apple have a very good laymans guide to using the iPad, its really very simple, my 5 year old whizzes through it untaught.

I think when it starts up you follow instructions and it can guide you through it holding your hand. They are extremely useful, mine is used for hours everyday and for watching a movie occasionally.

Very simple to use, as said above there is a guide for basic setup when you first turn it on. And if your only gonna use it for Internet browsing it couldn't be easier.

Sent from my iPad ;)

Once you've connected to your WiFi signal and can access the internet, open the Safari browser (bottom left of the Home screen) and look at the bookmarks. There should be one there already which takes you to the online iPad guide. That will take you through the basics (and quite a bit more once you're ready for it)

In a week's time you'll wonder how you ever managed without one!

I think the fact he's never sent a text will render his chances of connecting to a wifi network being simple.
