Instead of constantly posting here each time I play a round

Decent enough read. Maybe think about a few pics and links to break it up a bit (maybe one back to here ;)) but a good start. There are some that will moan about another blog but they don't have to read it so just keep doing it as long as you keep enjoying it and feel you are getting something from it

Ok homie, I'll bite. This isn't a loaded question in any way ... But what's the point? What purpose do they serve? What do you hope to achieve ?

I find they are nice to look back on, somewhere to post a few photos and despite a lot of comments on here there are people who like to read them.

Blog on, Dude!

I'm with you on this one. I'm into anything during a round that is posted, that is funny, unusual etc etc but I'm no more interested in the detail of someone's ordinary round than they are of mine.

I'm not sure who the bloggers expect to read them. It seems like a lot of effort to go to for little point.

If it's a way of measuring progress etc then why the need to share?

I do confess to being a hypocrite:o

I do glance at homies blog from time to time. Not for golfing reasons though.

I do enjoy his 'interesting' style of writing.

Summed up well

Reciting a round hole by hole shot by shot is dull as dishwater - especially for us mere Amatuers

If the blog was reviews and tips and amusing tails and interesting stories etc then would see the appeal.

Main thing to remember is No one is making you read the blogs.
They cause no harm to others,so I can't see a problem personally.

Don't you get followers if you have a blog ?

Surely everyone wants followers. I would follow your odyssey to one day get 30 points in a forum meet.

It's a dream of mine:o

I'd rather write about my matchplay experience. Let me tell you a story about a recent game at Royal St George's ......

Would you follow that Leo ??

There is no harm, but I still don't get the point:(

Thinking back to the 'New Golf Thinking' event I did last year, one of the items to try, was, to create a memory vault, that is remember the good shots, remember all the things that were occurring at the time, so that the next time you face the same shot, you look into your memory vault so you can recreate the shot.

Perhaps in writing a blog, the bloggers are doing just that, by writing down the events of their round, it's helping them remember the good shots.

That or all bloggers are just reincarnated versions of Max Bygraves.. "I wanna tell you a story...."

Keep your hair on Nick, oh sorry.:o

I gave my partner one job to do and close out the match with two putts, and what does he do. I still think he took a bung.

Please used its full name, it's ' new golf thinking, all for the price of 2 pints' :o

I get the logging progress, the memory bank, but who do the bloggers think will read it?

If I was sitting down to write a blog, the first question I would ask is 'whose going to read this ?', I'd struggle to answer that, and therefore wouldn't bother.

New golf thinking, all for the price of two pints, seems to be taking a lot of the fun out of the game.:(

This is just my opinion and should not be taken as the opinion of all curly haired old fogies.

I think Swinger should write a blog about his long driving exploits

The only blog I'd read is swingers nocturnal refuelling exploits.

I'm not sure he'd update it much. I don't think his car has wifi :o

If he parked it close enough to the clubhouse I'm sure he could pick up a signal
