I was due to play in a 36 hole end of season medal event - The Masters - at Royal Ascot. Wasn't feeling brilliant after my round yesterday. Went to my family in the afternoon and came home feeling what your mum would have called "not quite right". Getting ready for bed I keeled over. HID panics and an ambulance trip to A&E. On a drip, lengthy stay but nothing other than dehydration and exhauston (shed loads going on with my my mum over the last few months which has apparently caught up with me).

No chance of playing 36 holes let alone 18 and a day in bed sleeping and resting. Gutted as I played well yesterday and confidence for a good showing in a limited field was really high. It was the last big event of the season and not the way I wanted to finish 2012's season. A win, a few top threes and one or two what might have bees where I let chances slip away and a drop from 13-10 and hitting the ball way better in 2012. I've enjoyed my golf so much more than I have in years.

Given the health scares and injuries of some of my fellow forum members I'm not too fussed about my detour to A&E and more annoyed about missing the golf especially as I had two great partners to enjoy the day with. It just means I'll have to make sure I enjoy the H4H day even more especially with my hernia op due at some stage and so an enforced break coming.

Sorry to hear that Homer, scary stuff for you and your family. Glad you seem on the mend.

Just felt off colour all day but just thought it was a case of being over tired, getting up early and perhaps a bug. Just kind of fainted. Came over very light headed and just sort of felt myself toppling towards the bed. Glad it wasn't anything serious and I came to straight away. Gave the neighbours some late night entertainment with the blue lights flashing as the ambulance arrived. Never seen so many curtains twitches

Hope your feeling better after a day of rest mate. I know you've got a lot on your plate with your Mum at the moment but didn't realise it was taking this much of a toll on you. Take it easy the next few days.

Glad you're feeling better, you can't be too careful with your health.

I'm surprised that you've had such a good season, mines been a bit stop start with all this bad weather. After the mild winter we had I was eager to kick on and really make an impact... it didn't happen :(
