The whole royalty thing is ceremonial and in its simplest terms makes money for the country. I deal with people from around the world on a daily basis and what is very clear is that they see royalty as an important symbol of Britain and being British. Another thing that quickly becomes clear is that they envy it.

I know what you mean but it does not bode easy with me when I see the likes of 'Andrews' Girls living such a privileged life style off the state. I don't think a good cut back on spending for the Royal Family would make any difference to tourism.
