Well...................this is a shocker, and not in a good way!
I'm due to play in the HFH event in a few weeks and, as I'm not a member of a club, decided to get my h'cap accurately assessed.
I use Golfshake.com as I was told this is a good site for h'cap assessment.
I've inputted every shot from every round of golf I've played since March this year, thirteen in total.(Rounds......not shots).
Now, I've assumed for a while that I play off 18, or very close to that, and have used that handicap whenever and wherever I play and generally score between 30pts and 40pts with the odd 22pts or 44pts thrown in.
I'm a bloody 21 handicapper with anactual h'cap of 20.5.
What's more is that I've discovered I'm a better putter & driver than I thought, and obviously, a worse iron player than I thought!
By entering FIR & GIR & number of putts it's provided me with all sorts of stats which I find very interesting, if not a bit depressing!
As for the HFH event, I plead with the powers that be that I'm allowed to play off 18, pretty please. I don't want to receive more than one shot on any hole..................pretty, pretty please.

P.P.S As I've been playing of a false handicap, to my disadvantage, does this make me a Tidnab?
