Well i see the ICC (in cahoots with the ECB i'llbet) have found a way to stop good old ireland beating england or pakistan or bangladesh in the world cup again, the ODI 50/50 world cup will be made up of the top ten TEST playing nations , even tho we are 10th in the world in 50/50 zimbabwe are entitled to it coz they are 10th in a different form of the game ,, on the serious side tho can you have a world cup in 4 years time with the teams already decided , no pre qualifying (there will be for 2019 seemingly) doesnt this devalue the WORLD cup , is the cricket faternity's world made up of 10 countries ?? MAD MAD MAD DECISION

Nothing to do with the ECB.

Decision was apparently driven by Australia, New Zealand and India - too long hanging around waiting to play decent teams apparently.

Daft decision if you ask me - Ireland and to a lesser extent Holland are prime examples of why it's important to expand these global competitions.
