Okay, it would never happen as would never have the viewing figures.

Apart from Darcey's voice, I can watch a bit of it now and then as harmless Saturday evening t.v. , think there are a few fans on here.

As far as I can see, some beginners, or virtual beginners quite regularly after 13 or so weeks of intensive training with a professional can then be scoring perfect scores by the end.

Could imagine they may soften the scoring compared to how they score professionals, but even so the judges comment on the non-pros being close to the pros.

If this was golf instead, even allowing for the odd 'natural' I can't imagine a comparable progression in that timeline.

What does the forum think?

HID is an avid watcher, every year, and I get to see it when I lift my head out of a book or from the forum. I'll admit to watching quite bit more of the semi's and final. Occasionally I'll ask HID which one is the pro but for the most part its obvious which is the celeb.

As you say, gentle evening watching, occasionally spiced up with a very good performance.

Could golfers achieve what dancers do in 13x 30(?) hour weeks? Its comparing apples and oranges. The judging of the dancers is subjective. The scorecard judges golfers. Look at what pro golfers score many weeks. No amateur golfer will score perfectly but they might have a classic, beautiful swing.

It wasn't a cold, miserable day here. 20* and little wind, rising to 22* by the time we finished, although it was 9* at 8:30am.
 
Well for me it’s been outstanding this season - some brilliant amazing dances and a superb final , some really good people in it, excellent viewing .
 
Next year would like to see no previous dance experience celebs

Not really Ashley’s fault.
Maybe she shouldn’t have been aloud in then.

She wasn’t down to earth enough to win the public either.. her end video was all about my mums come to see me

Stacey humbly praising her partner saying he’s such a nice guy

Arrogance cost her.
