Circle T Scottys are always ££££

I think if I was very welthy I would have a little collection.

It would be a real shame for it to go missing in the post system ... I doubt the £10 would include adequate insurance to cover him :)

I'd expect it to be hand delivered for that price!

Have you tried offering the guy £5990 cash to recoup the postage? ;)

.

However, if I am spending £6k... and lets face it they go for a lot more.... You are paying the P&P!!!

Hahaa that is a great spot.

The thing with scottys is they are collectable and the right ones do increase in price, when my ex played a bit and I bought her a limited edition My Girl putter for £350 (its a similar style to the Red X) - which for a putter is silly money.

I encouraged her not to sue it until her golf improved and she didnt - then she packed in playing (and me lol)- anyhow its now sitting in my old loft and probbaly worth upwards of £1500. so a 400% + return on an item over about 7-8 years aint bad.

So I can see why if you are a) cash rich b) a golf enthusiast and would rather have your cash tied up in a cool range of putters then sitting in some drab bank account - the Scottys could be the answer.

Shall I email the ebay chap and see if he will split the postage with me? :whoo:

There was a set of 4 my girl scottys on there the other day.. I have to say they looked cool!!

You know what they say 'a fool and his money are soon parted'

I know someone who 20 years ago was paying £25 for Tony Penna persimmon woods saying they would be worth a fortune in 20 years time. He would be lucky to get £5 for them now.

I think you are all missing the point, this type is rare and collectable, its likely to increase in value if its kept mint.

I dont imagine anyone would buy it and use it but if you had £6k in your average savings account, compare your balance in 5 years time to the likely value of one of these in mint/unused condition.

I know what I would rather have....

Scottjd

I don't think anyone is missing the point.
In a few years time the 'in' putter may be a Monty Goldeneye [I just made that up before someone tries to buy one].
Scotties will be the thing of the past and therefore of little interest.

Something is only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it and as Doon says, if something else is fashionable when you try to sell it, you won't get much for it.

We are not talking about Picasso's here, these are lumps of metal.
