...but I've just been to the range and had to keep removing a thin layer of ice from my clubs where the moisture was freezing on the clubface :mmm:

I've played in some cold conditions but have never experienced that before.

Which range? If its Lavender you aren't filling me with comforting thoughts about heading out to hit some balls tomorrow. I was going to hit 50 at Blue Mountain but maybe not.

I'm sorely tempted to pull out of the stableford on Saturday as it will be on temps given the hard frosts forecast and I can't see any mileage in that. Rather work on the drills from my lesson on Thursday

When that first shot bounces 40ft in the air off the green you'll know it's cold :)

Try not to pull a muscle in the cold

Frost didnt actually get into the ground here last night, optimistically hoping the same tonight lol. As for the muscle im starting with a strained calf lol

The biggest pain we had on Sunday morning was the frost from the fairways and greens clinging to our cleats! We all had to clear the ice off our shoes before each hole to avoid losing footing!

I find the biggest pain is when it just starts to thaw again - frost then sticks on the ball. If you have a long putt, by the time the ball's got near the hole, it's too big to drop in! I exaggerate of course - but not much. Doesn't seem to happen when the frost is at its coldest

Same for us on Sunday, could have done with anti-balling plate on my shoes!

Worst I had at the range was last November, had to chip ice off the ball before every swing!

I agree its cold as my phone keeps notifying me when it drops even lower. The only thing is i miss it every night i dont play/practise. I had a night off from the range today as i was cooking for friends and inbetween conversation i drifted off to all those things i did wrong sunday and how im going to put these right next outing. Dont get me wrong sun on my back is better than bitter cold but any excuse will have me out there... If it werent for having to see the ball i would be out there now.

I'll be popping up to Crowborough tomorrow with my membership application form and cheque. I was planning on playing afterwards but the forecast will see me jumping in the car and heading off back home. With the wind chill factor it's going to be minus something. Minus me.
